Day & Night Attendance
We realise that a bereavement may occur at any time of the day or night. We therefore can be contacted at any time to arrange conveyance of the deceased to our Private Chapel of Rest.
Coffins & Caskets
We offer a wide range of traditional coffins, American caskets and alternative coffins such as Willow, Seagrass and designs that reflect someone’s hobbies or interests.
Disbursements
Disbursements are fees for example payable to the crematorium or cemetery, minister, and doctor’s etc, where appropriate these fees would be itemised on your written estimate of expenses.
Memorials
We can assist you with the choice of a new memorial or with an inscription and renovation of an existing memorial.
Repatriation
In the event of a death occurring away from home we can arrange or simply assist in the repatriation.
Hearse & Limousines
The hearse with chauffeur and sufficient bearers is essential. However limousines are charged for separately. This ensures that the family is not charged for something they may not need or want.

Low Cost Attended Funeral from £2,400.00
An option for a simpler, no fuss service, which has limited-service options but maintains our high level of service and commitment to providing a personal service.
A Summary of What’s Included
Bringing your loved one into our care from their place of death, within a 10-mile radius of our offices, during our normal office hours.
A nominated member of staff to guide you through the funeral arrangements and administration.
Provision of a Simple coffin fully fitted suitable for burial or cremation.
We will care for and accommodate your loved one until the time of the funeral.
Provision of the Hearse and necessary bearers, proceeding directly to Southend crematorium or a local cemetery from our Southchurch Office.
Returning the ashes into your care.
Free Access to our Bereavement Support Group Meetings.
What’s Not Included
Bringing the deceased into our care out of our normal office hours and beyond a 10-mile radius (An additional mileage charge for over 10 miles and out of our normal hours will apply)

A Limousine to follow the Hearse.
Arranging and printing order of service booklets.

Chapel visits if requested of your loved one by appointment during normal working hours at your designated F P Guiver and Sons office.
Provision of the Hearse with necessary bearers, leaving from a local address of the families choosing proceeding to Southend or Basildon crematorium or a local cemetery and if included the limousine returning the family to a local address after the service.
We will collect, collate and distribute donations to your chosen charity on your behalf and inform you of the amount collected.

Administration and arranging your final instructions for the ashes.

Popular additional options which can be added.
Limousines seating up to six £350.00
A separate service or ceremony for up to 1 hour at your chosen local location before the committal at the crematorium or cemetery £200.00
Our normal terms of payment are; 50% of the funeral expenses prior to the funeral, our final account for the balance will be sent a week after the funeral which we ask to be met within 30 days.
Exceptions to our normal terms of payment can be discussed with a team member in circumstance’s where payment is coming from a third parties such as Financial Institutions and Solicitors.
Overdue accounts will be subject to a £25.00 per month surcharge unless prior arrangements have been agreed with us in writing.
