Craig Reynolds
Craig began working in the funeral profession with another local funeral directors in 1986, and after three years joined the team at F P Guiver & Sons continuing in the role of Funeral Director’s Assistant. He then began to study for his Diploma in Funeral Directing, this coincided with the opportunity to start making funeral arrangements at the Southchurch Road office. He successfully gained his Diploma in Funeral Directing and was soon based in our Southchurch Road office where he became assistant manager. In 2005 Craig became Manager of the Company when the current manager decided on a career change. In 2006 Craig was invited to join Stephen and Linda Guiver as a Company Director.
Outside of work Craig likes to spend time with his family, playing golf, walking and generally keeping fit. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Rochford and involved in Essex Freemasonry.

Neil McDonald
Neil, a former pupil at FitzWimarc school in Rayleigh, started work in the City of London’s financial world, and after being made redundant started a career locally in care work. A natural progression led Neil to start work at F.P. Guiver & Sons Ltd in 2005. Neil has had experience in many roles within the company and is now General Manager and funeral arranger at the Southchurch Road office where he continues to help many families through difficult times.
Neil is married and has three daughters. He continues to be an avid Southend United supporter attending home and away matches regularly.

Steve Banks
Steve has lived in Southchurch for almost all his life and, after having a few other jobs locally, joined F. P. Guiver & Sons Ltd in 2011. Over the years Steve has undertaken many of the different roles within the company and is now the assistant manager at the Southchurch office helping families through what is always a difficult time for them.
Outside of work Steve likes to spend time with his young family. Steve regularly attends his local church and also enjoys being part of an amateur dramatic group.

Kevin Harwood
Kevin has been known to the company for many years. He was the mortuary technician at Rochford Hospital, passing his certificate of anatomy and physiology at Charing Cross Medical School, and his Diploma (D.A.P.T) in the same subject and became a member of public health and hygiene (M.R.I.P.H.H)
For many years Kevin was the senior technician at Rochford Hospital mortuary and soon after was promoted to mortuary services manager at Southend Hospital. After 18 years he moved to Australia where he lived for several years. When he returned to the UK Kevin worked for another funeral directing company and in 2016 joined the team at F. P. Guiver & Sons covering various roles within the company. Kevin is now permanently based at our Eastwood office. He lives in Rayleigh close to our Eastwood office and he often meets his clients outside of the office environment and is dedicated to interacting with families and guiding them through a difficult time in their lives.
Outside of the office Kevin is very keen on D.I.Y and spends time in his workshop. He also enjoys painting with water colour and eating out locally with friends.

Dawn Silk
Dawn started her working career as a dental nurse qualifying in all her necessary exams and quite happily continued in that role for many years. At the beginning of 2015 Dawn had decided that she wanted to have a career change, which happily coincided with us deciding to open a branch office in Rochford where she lives. Dawn joined F. P. Guiver & Sons Ltd in the summer of 2015 and had a period of training in the Southchurch office before the opening of the Rochford office where she is now. In addition to Dawn’s daily work she now runs our Bereavement Support Group meetings.
Outside of work Dawn spends time with her children, grandchildren and family. She can also often be found at the gym, out running or enjoying socialising with friends.

Richard Bars
Richard started with F P Guiver and Sons in 2015 based Initially as a driver bearer. Richard has since progressed and gained several qualifications from the Independent Funeral Directors College and now provides additional support in all our offices when required. Outside of the workplace Richard enjoys spending time with his family, travelling around Europe whilst on holiday and walking his Siberian Husky Charlie.
